ELOPEMENT at SAULT, DAYLESFORD
The day
Hayley and Alfio eloped on a beautiful Autumn day in picturesque Daylesford. With a guest list of just 5 people, it was truly an honour to witness their magical day. There’s nothing quite like an elopement; it’s intimacy and togetherness, and since Covid we have seen many more couples choose to marry in this special way.
Our coverage began with Alfio getting suited up alongside a couple of great friends, while Hayley got ready with her family at the quaint Illoura, a stunning cottage in Hepburn surrounded by lush gardens. We were joined by our talented friend Tess Follett for photography who is always a pleasure to work with.
The ceremony was conducted by Zena Lythgo in Sault’s stunning gardens, with their famous lavender fields as a backdrop. Alfio’s family watched from Italy via livestream, and it was wonderful to have them take part in the day. After the ceremony we headed to Sailors Falls for some photos, a stunning waterfall which drops into a lush, fern-lined gully. We snuck back to Sault just in time for an epic sunset, it was definitely a perfect day.
